Norman
| Richard has been
photographing
outdoor landscapes for some 20 years and he currently lives in
Whitwell, Tennessee with his wife Cathy. Richard loves teaching
photography and anyone that has taken one of
his classes remarks about his easy laid back way of
teaching. He is an excellent photographer and superb field
teacher. His warm personality provides great one on one teaching. His
photography workshops include
several popular
National Parks, such as The Smoky Mountain National Park, The Grand Tetons, and Rocky Mountain National Park. Check his
workshop
page for
his 2008 schedule. Richard has shot in the field with some of photography's greatest landscape photographers, such as John Shaw, Galen Rowell, and Bryan Peterson. He was also a Resident Team Member (instructor) with the Great American Photography Weekend. Richard has been published in many venues such as the National Geographic Traveler's Calendar, Balian's Outdoor & Nature Photography magazine, The London Observer, National Guide to the Rocky Mountains, and has been published in many other publications. Richard has booklets that will guide you on how to take photographs the way he does at some of the places that he conducts his photography workshops. These booklets are available from this website.
